2017 Ends

This is just a short note to say thank you to everyone who has read my blog this year, I hope you enjoyed it. It’s been a bit of a strange year internationally, sometimes it has seemed as though the world was going mad and then along came another story to renew faith in humanity. As an eternal optimist I always think things will end well however calamitous they appear. My “to do” list was edited, quite a few things successfully completed but more ideas have been added, I intend to work a bit harder at it this year.

I have now been here in the village for fourteen Christmas Days and all but one of them has been a beautiful day with clear blue skies and brilliant sunshine. Generally I have enjoyed this year as you probably noticed from the blog content. I hope you all have wonderful New Year celebrations and whatever other winter celebrations your religion or culture enjoys.

Here is a picture taken on Christmas Day 2017.

The view from the bottom of my driveway looking west towards the foothills of the Taurus mountain range and the ancient Lycian city of Phellos on the top of the ridge.
